Democrats flood Wisconsin to take down Scott Walker

From Politico

walkerKENOSHA, Wisc. — Want to know just how important Wisconsin is in the midterm election? Take a look at the political luminaries who visited over the last six days.

Sen. Kamala Harris on Sunday. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday. President Donald Trump on Wednesday. And, the biggest prize of all for Democrats, former President Barack Obama on Friday.

With a tight contest for Speaker Paul Ryan’s open congressional seat, a competitive Senate race and a battle for governor that is about as close as it can get, the state that slipped through Democrats’ hands in the 2016 presidential election is getting obsessive attention from both parties in the run-up to Election Day.

“This is an incredibly important battleground state,” said Mike Tate, Democratic strategist and former Wisconsin state party chair. “It may end up being one of the closest governor’s races in the country.”

The marquee race features Scott Walker, beloved by Republicans nationally, who is attempting to win his third term as governor amid signs that the independents that made all the difference to his victories in the past are now moving away from him.

Join Us TODAY to tell Mike Pence and Scott Walker — Hands Off Our Health Care!

We just learned that Mike Pence is coming to Wisconsin tomorrow to fundraise for Scott Walker. It’s no wonder Pence is such a fan of our governor — Walker has sided with Pence time and time again to push policies that limit Wisconsinites’ access to health care, kick people off their insurance, weaken protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and jack up out-of-pocket costs on prescription medication.

Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, October 10th to send a message to Governor Walker and VP Pence that we want a governor who won’t play politics with our health care!

Mandela Barnes in Menomonie

John Calabrese candidate for the Assembly with Mandela Barnes

Mandela Barnes, Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor of Wisconsin spoke in Menomonie on Tuesday, October 2 urging all who care about the future of Wisconsin to vote for Tony Evers, Mandela Barnes, Tammy Baldwin and all the Democrats running in the mid-term elections.

Barnes cautioned that there will be no Blue Wave if Democrats don’t jump in and make a splash. He urged us to get our friends and neighbors out to vote by door knocking, phone calling, and putting the word out in whatever way we can.

Join us every Saturday morning at 10 AM in Menomonie (710 4th Street E) to door knock and make phone calls. Pick up yard signs.
