Film: Dying to Live: A Migrant’s Journey Then and Now
January 28 at 7:00 pm–8:30 pm
It is increasingly important for us to understand how current immigration policies are impacting real people, especially those entering through our southern border. In response to the urgency of this moment, we are showing the film, Dying to Live: A Migrant’s Journey. Following the film, local Spanish language interpreter Jane Redig will discuss some of the more current impacts of immigration policies as they are affecting local immigrants.
Jane lived for five years in Guatemala in the 1980s/90s after many years of Central America solidarity work here in the U.S. She has an ongoing concern for our immigrant neighbors and recently returned from the southern border.
