It’s time for action.
Wisconsin’s water is at a crossroads. Manure, lead, pesticides, PFAS, and other contaminants are making our tap water undrinkable. Republicans and Democrats alike are talking about the need for clean drinking water. But talk is easy. The solutions needed to clean up our drinking water will require bold action.
That’s where you come in.
In February, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos announced the formation of a Speaker’s Task Force on Water Quality. That task force is currently holding a statewide series of public hearings, and we need you to speak up for Wisconsin’s water when it comes to Menomonie this week.
Join us on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the UW-Stout Memorial Student Center, Room 201 (Great Hall), 302 Tenth Avenue East, Menomonie.
Invited testimony will begin at 1 p.m. and is expected to conclude at approximately 4 p.m. Members of the public will have the opportunity to testify at the conclusion of the invited testimony. We can send you more detailed talking points for your turn at the microphone.
Join others to share your stories and concerns about your water quality. Nitrates, manure, bacteria, lead, and emerging contaminants like PFAS are threatening our health and our environment.
Sign up here for the Menomonie hearing.
This is an opportunity to make your voice heard. It’s time to let your elected officials know this is a big problem and we expect bold solutions to reduce pollution and ensure clean, safe drinking water for all Wisconsinites.
Thanks for being a conservation voter.
